Tastes of the Hunter Wine Tours is the pride and joy of owner/operator Suzanne Sheldon and is the wine tour specialist brand of Tastes Of Australia Tours based in Maryland, NSW (around 30 mins South East of the Hunter Valley). A proud Novocastrian, born and raised in Newcastle, Suzanne is proud to call the Hunter region home and passionate about bringing the unique wines and fascinating story of the region to life through exciting wine tours that combine fun local stories with delicious produce.
After working in various government roles and craving a lifestyle and “sea change”, Suzanne began Tastes of the Hunter Wine Tours in May 2017 with just one bus and big dreams.
Today Tastes of the Hunter is able to offer tours from local Hunter Valley cottages as well as Newcastle, the Central Coast and Sydney. In 2023 Tastes of the Hunter is excited about branching out to include multi-day adventures both in the wine space and beyond.
A Tastes of the Hunter Tour is not just a wine tour. There is much more to the region than just the reds and whites the area is famous for and Suzanne and her team love putting their guests in touch with the cellar door and venue staff that are passionate about their delicious offerings and giving guests a true snapshot of all that is on offer in the Hunter.

Tastes Of The Hunter Wine Tours – We Want To Make A Difference
Like many thousands of Australian families, the Tastes Of The Hunter Wine Tours family has also been touched by cancer and blessed by the difference that advances in cancer treatments can make to the real chances for survival of patients. As a result when you come on board our luxury tour bus you’ll notice the “Come on board for cancer” research donation wine barrel just inside the door. Our focus is for you to have a great time on our tours so we don’t pump our guests for donations but if you happen to have a few coins weighing down your wallet at the end of the day … pop them in the barrel! It never ceases to amaze just how a few coins here and there on a regular basis can add up to making a difference at the end of a month or a year!
All donations are sent on a quarterly basis to the Sydney Prince Of Wales Hospital Foundation.
